5LINX Review imageWelcome to my 5LINX Review!

5LINX Enterprises is a Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) company that offers products and services that people use every day across the United States, as well as 20 countries abroad.

In this 5LINX Review, I will be examining their company, providing information regarding their products, and reviewing the MLM Business opportunity that they offer as a 5LINX Independent Marketing Representative (IMR).

Does 5LINX offer a legitimate MLM Business opportunity, or should this be considered as a scam or pyramid scheme?  This is my unbiased 5LINX Review.

These 5LINX products and services are offered exclusively through their growing number of Independent Marketing Representatives or IMRs.

MLM Business – How it works

5LINX Logo imageI have been following 5LINX for a few months now, and I conducted my first 5LINX Review back in September of 2010.  There have been a couple of changes that I will point out as I go along.

Getting Started…

To begin your business, 5LINX has two options:

1. Become a Customer Representative for $99.

As a Customer Representative, you will earn compensation each time that you sell 5LINX’s products and services.  However, your earning potential will be limited to your personal sales only.  Customer Representatives do not earn compensation from the efforts of others.

2. Become an IMR for $249. (This cost was $499 in Sept. 2010)

This will be your option if you are a serious entrepreneur with a goal to not only sell their products and services, but profit from the efforts of others as you build your 5LINX organization.

Becoming profitable

5LINX provides you with the opportunity to become profitable in your first 30 days, dependent upon your individual commitment and work ethic.  If you successfully achieve 20 customer points in your first 30 days, you will earn a Quickstart Bonus of $500.

Customer Points are defined as each product and service sold, not individual customers.  Every product or service equals one point.  For example, if you sign up 5 customers who all purchase 4 5LINX products and services, you will have earned your 20 customer points.

Additionally, in this same 30 day period, if you also enroll 2 IMRs, along with achieving 20 customer points, you will earn a Quickstart Bonus of $750. (This bonus was $1,000 in Sept. 2010)

IMR Training & Support

5LINX MLM Review imageAs an IMR, your mission will be to acquire customers who are already paying for the products and services that 5LINX provides.  Except, 5LINX provides you with the ability to profit each and every time a customer pays a bill that they are already accustomed to paying, at the same time as save them money in the process.

5LINX will train and encourage you to acquire customers by contacting your friends, family members, acquaintances, neighbors, co-workers etc.

You will contact your warm market, present 5LINX products and services, sign up new customers, and recruit those who express an interest in becoming an IMR on your team.  Your support and training as a brand new IMR will be based upon these traditional methods of Network Marketing.

5LINX Review Conclusion

In my opinion, 5LINX is a legitimate company, and should not be considered as a scam.  Telecommunications is a $400+ Billion dollar industry, and 5LINX is positioned to become a Billion Dollar company in the upcoming years.

Food for thought…

Where I disagree with 5LINX is in regards to their IMR Training, as I strongly believe that the Warm Marketing methods of prospecting among friends and family members is not the most effective way to build a business in today’s world.

While I agree that you can generate some sales within your warm market, building a profitable and long-term 5LINX business is going to require hundreds, if not thousands of paying customers, along with personally sponsored IMRs who are duplicating your efforts.

Here’s an example:  According to 5LINX, if you recruit 20 IMRs, and each IMR enrolls 20 customers EACH who sign up for their GLOBALINX service of $24.95 per month, your monthly residual income will be $200.

Now, lets take this a step further:  If you recruit 20 IMRs, and each IMR enrolls 200 customers EACH who sign up for their GLOBALINX service of $24.95 per month, your monthly residual income will be $2,000.

From this example, you can see that this will be no small task, especially if you are only promoting 5LINX to your friends and family members.  We as individuals simply do not know enough people to achieve this level of success, unless you choose to utilize a more effective and modern marketing strategy!

With that being said, if you possess the ability to truly market your business to not only rely on your friends and relatives, I believe that 5LINX offers a solid business opportunity with fantastic products and services to build a business around.  Why not profit from something that everybody is paying for anyway!

My ex-GF is attempting to interest me in this program.

What I see is way too much “BLUE SKY” and little to no information publicly available on the exact costs for the precise products that they’re supposedly marketing.

Her “mentor” was trying to lure me in with “savings on electricity, internet, phone service, etc.”

The electricity angle consisted of “areas of NY, PA, OH, TX, GA, MD, NJ and Ontario to obtain information on energy restructuring”

Well I live in Arizona and “obtain information on energy restructuring” means WHAT exactly?

I dunno, but looks like way too much work to motivate people to sign up rather than sell any products…

  2. A Fraudulent Pyramid scheme. They knowingly sold me an outdated CU3000 Video Phone. When I decided to disassociate/affiliate with them, I sent a request by email and ask them to stop charging my credit card. They continue to take money from my credit card without my authorization. I ask for a refund and they have not return the money that they took without my authorization. This company will ultimately cease doing business when the public catch on to their Fraudulent practices- willful intent to deceive. There is no statute of limitation for bringing Fraudulent Practitioners to Justice. With your help getting the word out to the Public, we can stop them real fast. 5Linx, Global Linx- just another Fraudulent Pyramid scheme. The ship is sinking. Abandon ship now. Ask them to return the money that they took without your authorization. That seem to be their modus operandum- charging people’s credit card without permission

      Hi Leroy,

I am so sorry to hear this, but I want to thank you for sharing these experiences. This is good information for anyone who is looking to get involved with 5LINX. I wish you the best of luck in getting a refund. I do know that companies can be conveniently unavailable when a refund is being asked for. Good luck!
