Qivana Review – Scam Or Legitimate MLM Business?

| May 4, 2011 | 29 Comments

Qivana Review imageWelcome to my Qivana Review!

Qivana claims to be the first Network Marketing company to put their Independent Business Owners (IBO) at the center of everything, with a mission to make their IBOs the most successful entrepreneurs in the world.  Is this indeed the case with Qivana?

In this Qivana review, I will be reviewing their company and products in relation to the Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) business opportunity that they offer as a Qivana Independent Business Owner or IBO.

Does Qivana offer a legitimate opportunity as a promising home based business, or should this be considered a scam or pyramid scheme?  This is my unbiased Qivana Review.

Company Details & History

Qivana Logo imageFounded in 2009, Qivana is a Health & Wellness company who firmly believes that the key to better overall health is to utilize multiple products in a systematic approach.

Popular Products

Qivana offers two product categories which contain individual products that are designed to be utilized together to compliment each other as a synergistic system.  These products include:

Qivana QORE System imageQORE System

This system includes 4 products that are designed to compliment each other:

  • QORE Probiotics – Formulated to support your immune system and increase nutrient absorption.
  • QORE Essentials – Includes a proprietary blend of healing herbs from Asia to enhance energy and protection.
  • QORE Detox – Formulated to cleanse your body.
  • QORE Defense – Formulated to boost your immune system.

Qivana METABOLIQ System imageMETABOLIQ System

This system includes 3 products that are designed to compliment each other:

  • METABOLIQ Shakes & Sticks – Intended to reduce your cravings and fuel the body.
  • METABOLIQ Boost – Formulated to accelerate fat loss and burn calories.
  • METABOLIQ Resist – Blocks sugar receptors and inhibits sugar absorption.

These products are promoted and distributed exclusively through Qivana’s large network of IBOs, which will now transition us into the Qivana Business Opportunity.

MLM Business – Getting started and how it works

The initial cost to become an IBO and begin your Qivana business is a Sign-up Fee of $45.  This qualifies you to purchase products at wholesale prices.

Next, you will need to submit an initial order to begin building your inventory of products to have on hand.  Qivana offers two Business Packs to choose from:

  • Business Pack for $500.00
  • Complete Business Pack for $1,000.00

Placing an initial order equivalent to 1000 PV will automatically qualify you to earn their Executive Matching Bonus on all IBOs in your first Generation for your first 12 Weeks.  Purchasing their Complete Business Pack for $1,000 will satisfy this requirement.

To learn more about the Executive Matching Bonus, and all of the other elements within the Qivana Compensation Plan, there will be a link provided at the bottom of this Qivana Review that will explain in detail how the Qivana comp plan works, and how it rewards their IBOs.

Introducing their Autoship

Next, you will need to sign up for their monthly Autoship program to qualify for the full earning potential within their pay plan.  This program will automatically ship products of your choosing to your home every month, and will bill your credit card accordingly.  To maximize your earning potential within the Qivana Compensation Plan, you will need to purchase an equivalent to 200 Personal Volume (PV) each month.  This equates to about $255 USD per month.

IBO’s Replicated Website

Qivana also offers a Website Subscription, which will provide you with a replicated Qivana Website with the ability to offer free product samples, gather and manage leads, and customize your profile to make it unique and personal to you.  This website is $14.95 per month, or $120.00 annually.  This website is optional, but will be highly encouraged to assist you in growing your Qivana business.

IBO Training & Support

Qivana MLM Review imageQivana encourages and trains traditional methods involved in Network Marketing, or otherwise referred to as Word-of-Mouth.  Simply put, you will be encouraged to begin contacting those within your ‘Warm Market’ of individuals who you personally know.  This will include your friends, relatives, neighbors, co-workers, acquaintances, and others who you come in contact with.  You will share Qivana products with these individuals, and share the opportunity as a Qivana IBO on your team with those who express an interest.  Your training as a new Qivana IBO will be based upon these methods.

Qivana Review Conclusion

In my opinion, Qivana is a legitimate business opportunity, and is not a scam.  They are a relatively new MLM company, but they have truly hit the ground running, and have attracted a large number of IBOs.

This opportunity is widely talked about and continues to grow in popularity.  They offer high-quality products with many positive reviews and feedback.

Food for thought…

The one weakness that I see with Qivana is in regards to their marketing training, as I just don’t feel that the Warm Marketing methods that Qivana utilizes is the most effective way to build a long-term and profitable home business.  Recruiting and selling products to your friends and family members is always going to be much more difficult than these companies portray.  However, this will be up to you to decide.

With that being said, I have no doubt that you can achieve success within Qivana if you are willing to put in the time and effort that this business will require, and possess the ability to truly market their products and business opportunity to others.  Qivana offers great support, and many rewards as a successful Qivana Independent Business Owner.

Next, learn the exact details of how Qivana IBOs are compensated as my Qivana Review continues with their Compensation Plan!

  23. Jamey says:

While I appreciate you writing this review, I can’t help but think you could be working for the company. Your review has nice pictures and information that would help promote the company…that being said, it looks like those pictures came from the corporation itself.
What troubles me about the product is that what the clinical studies tell us is that the product has many possible great results, but where are the studies on the product itself to back that up? Anyone can succumb to the hype and get a nice placebo effect. Were there animal studies, human studies, or are the results speculation to what could happen if used?
There wasnt one negative response on the comments, and that leaves me to wonder even more…no one product is THAT wonderful. If you handed everyone a hundred dollar bill someone is still bound to complain that it wasnt more.
Also, making people make a monthly payment to be part of a business is GREAT for the business, but is it great for the hopeful earner?
    Food for thought
    -Jamey

    • Dave Fennell says:

      Hi Jamey,

Thank you for taking the time to comment on my Qivana Review. You can rest assured that I do not work for Qivana or any other company that I review on MarketingMethodsOnline.com. That being said, I can not just come out and slam a company and provide every negative quality without potentially getting in trouble or sued. Plus doing so is just not professional. But I do try to point out the subtle facts that people need to know and expect in building that particular business. Things like training and how they will be expected to prospect among friends and family members. A strategy that just does not work in my opinion.

As for your question about the legitimacy and effectiveness of a company’s products…Every company is going to rave about the incredible amount of money that they have invested into lab research and clinical studies. I have not seen a Health and Wellness company that doesn’t brag about this. This is why doing your due diligence to investigate the extent of a company’s research is imperative.

Also, you can research all day long, but I don’t believe that you will ever find a MLM company that does not require a monthly purchase or Autoship. This is how MLM companies make their fortunes, and also provide their distributors with a residual income. Not saying that I agree with this, but a residual income can not be provided if distributors are not required to purchase products on a continual basis. This is just how MLM works! You either love it or hate it.

      Thanks again,

      Dave F.

      • Jamey says:

I suppose if I look at this with the idea that its a business model rather than a quality product, it makes sense. Yes, certainly people can make money from becoming part of the business model they have established for the product.

However, I’m a consumer, a fitness professional, and a seeker of truths when it comes to supplements.

Unfortunately, all too many companies rant and rave about their (generally over priced) products for us consumers to find out that many of them dont change our body at all.

If we keep patting the companies on the back for their business model while they may or may not sell a quality product, doesnt that distort consumers from the truth? People need to be truth seekers rather than gimmick purchasers. In the same way, companies need to show proof of quality before they put it on the market, BUT since the FDA is extremely lenient on supplements, companies take advantage of the public ignorance. That being said, I hope it turns out to be a fantastic product for the sake of the people who sell it and use it.

        • Dave Fennell says:

Yes and unfortunately, the business model is what most MLM companies promote and advertise, rather than the actual product that they are attempting to sell.

Jamey, I do not disagree with any of the points that you have made. Companies do need to do a better job of providing factual information regarding their products rather than the hype. But all in all, I have heard good things regarding Qivana products.

          Thank you,

          Dave F.
